A New House Forms…
The Denver House of Perpetual Joy is an independent, unaffiliated community entity operating separately from the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence at this time.
While we are deeply inspired by the mission, values, and history, we are not a trademarked House and do not currently hold the authority to use that terminology.
Our work in the Denver Metro Area is guided by the spirit of joy, service, visibility, and compassion, values that transcend any single organization.
The Denver House of Perpetual Joy emerged from community roots, shared service, and lived experience, and continues forward as its own expression of the mission. We honor where we come from while standing clearly in who we are today.
Once a Sister, Always a Sister, and Joy remains our calling.

Rogue Nuns of the Rockies
After breaking off from the Golden Nugget Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence earlier this week, the Rogue Nuns of the Rockies were born. And a merry band of Sisters, a Brother and a Father decided to continue spreading JOY to the community at Li’l Devils Lounge.

Transgender Day of Remembrance
The Metropolitan Community Church of the Rockies, and transgender community leaders organized a TDOR program with a candlelight walk led by Sister CasKara. The Church also invited Denver District Attorney John Walsh to speak, alongside District 9 Council member Darrell Watson.

World AIDS Day
For the third year in a row, Park Hill United Methodist Church invited the Sisters to participate in their World AIDS Service & Solidarity Walk.
But this year, the Rogue Nuns of the Rockies, and Sister Bae’l from the Golden Nugget Sisters were in attendance. As always, they had a wonderful service and we look forward to continuing to work with the church in the future.
Park Hill United Methodist Church asked Sister CasKara to create a banner, inspired by the AIDS Quilt to be used in future World AIDS Day services.
A red jacquard banner and in gold lettering, “The Names We Carry” for the community to write the names of their loved ones onto fabric hearts.

No One Should Be Hungry, Period
Brother Jeff’s Cultural Center organized their Annual MLK Day Pantry and Sister Pene Pasta Cachiatoria suggested we volunteer together at this community event.
The Denver House of Perpetual Joy was doing just that, spreading JOY on MLK Day, while helping prepare over 350 free meals!
Sister Pene Pasta Cachiatoria came earlier to help prepare meals, and Sister Poly Nator was helping with mobile deliveries. While Father Fukkit and Brother Ob Noxious were serving meals to the community. And Sister CasKara made a mistake, they wore their chefs coat and they were sent to the grill to help boil hundreds of pounds of potatoes for the mashed potato station. Don’t show them another potato for a year!

Tonight we mark thirteen years of Lil Devil’s Lounge:
thirteen years of stiff drinks and soft landings, of chosen family found at the bar, of laughter louder than shame and love stronger than whatever was haunting you when you walked in.
We open this space in gratitude, with glitter in our hearts and mischief in our smiles, ready to honor a place that has held us exactly as we are.
May Lil Devil’s Lounge continue to be a refuge for the weary, a playground for the bold, and a sacred stop on the pilgrimage of nightlife.
May its walls remember every joy, its floors forgive every spilled drink, and its future be long, glittery, and just a little bit sinful.
So raise your glasses—to thirteen years of chosen family, defiant joy, and unapologetic existence.
Go forth, drink responsibly (or at least with snacks), love recklessly, and sin joyfully.

BINGO JOY with the CYCLE SLUTS
The Denver House of Perpetual Joy were present at the monthly bingo for charity at Brewability with the Denver Cycle Sluts. Raising money for an organization called Rocky Mountain Riders. The House was helping with echoing the numbers as they were called and Sister CasKara had Sister Pene Pasta Cachiatoria and Brother Ob Noxious help them sell tickets for the drawing. The House enjoyed spreading joy, while having a fabulous night together.

Celebrating the Life of Abigail Renee DeVine-Lamar

Thursday evening The Denver House of Perpetual Joy attended the Celebration of Life for local performer Abby at the Metropolitan Community Church of the Rockies.
We arrived early to help set up the reception, and then we attended the service where community members and friends spoke about the memories they shared with Abby. They will be missed deeply.

Bar Ministry
Following the Memorial service for Abby, The Denver House of Perpetual Joy went to the bars on Colfax to spread some joy, after grieving with the community.
Our first stop was Buddies, where we did a toast to Abby and spread some joy to the patrons that night. We laughed and we blessed the bartenders and each table. And we ran into a gentleman who lost his friend that day. He cried with us. This moment reminded us of the importance of our work in the community as we provide hope, comfort, and joy to the people, said Father Fukkit.
After that, we headed over to X BAR to see what was happening on a Thursday night. A couple asked us to be their backup dancers for the song they were lip syncing to, Lady Gaga’s Shallow. And we shared indulgences, and blessings to everyone at the bar, spreading joy to the community.

Postulant Sister Pene Pasta Cachiatoria & Postulant Brother Ob Noxious were elevated to Novice during our first in-person business meeting. We discussed our Purpose in the community, shared ideas, and performed a Sacred Glitter ceremony.

JOYFUL Remembrance at King of Hearts
The annual King of Hearts event for the Imperial Court of the Rocky Mountain Empire was held this weekend. Brother Ob Noxious and Sister CasKara attended on behalf of The Denver House of Perpetual Joy.
King of Hearts traditionally honors the Emperor’s Line. This year, however, the evening centered on remembering the late Emperor 52, Ed Kastler, the Court’s first straight, ally Emperor, whose impact on the community was deeply felt and lovingly honored.
Nungratulations to Empress 52 Zoey Diddim and the Board of Directors for a successful King of Hearts! Emperor 51 Roger Cornejo Monroe did a wonderful job with organizing this years King of Hearts! Thank you!
During the event, PR 51 Cubby announced his candidacy for Emperor 53. Voting for the next Reign will take place at The Center on Colfax on Saturday, March 28, from 11am to 5pm. Community members who live north of Castle Rock and south of the Colorado/ Wyoming border are eligible to vote.

BAR MINISTRY at XBAR
After spreading JOY at two concurrent events, “The King of Hearts” and “StageFluid’s Black History Month Celebration” this merry band of Sisters, a Brother and a Father reunited at XBAR.
We gave the community glitter blessings, we pre-forgave their sins, some stroked the crystal shaft, and we encouraged the sheNUNigans of horny XBAR people, while spreading JOY to ALL!
