Background:
I’m a transgender woman from Tennessee who decided the Appalachian Mountains just weren’t it and made her way out here to the Rockies 5 years ago. Since moving out here and meeting new people, I’ve become active in the goth scene and found a lot of community in these spaces.
Last year, shortly after pride, I decided to give drag performance a try, debuting as Sister Luci Ferocious, before I was even aware of the Denver House of Perpetual Joy. I have always been drawn to spiritual theming and the connection to the divine and spiritual are something that are very important in how I live my life.
Since becoming more involved in these queer spaces and communities, a big thing I’ve wanted to figure out is a way that I can not just connect with my community, but to give back and help as well. It’s a big part of why I sought out to join the House, and if I’m already calling myself a Sister then we may as well make it official!
