Dear Aspirant,
We’re delighted that you’ve taken a curious step toward learning about our bold, unconventional House. From the outside, folks often notice the sparkle first—joyful nuns, big personalities, a little mischief. But beneath the fabulousness is a deep commitment to service, compassion, and creative activism.
Our purpose is simple and ambitious: to spread love, joy, lift spirits, and show up for our community in whatever ways are needed most. Change doesn’t happen by accident—it needs momentum, intention, and people willing to bring their whole selves to the work. Every member contributes something unique, and together those differences are our greatest strength.
Our Mission takes many forms. A members work may include fundraising, outreach, ministry, teaching, advocacy, performance, or any joyful combination of the above. It’s varied, meaningful, and occasionally glittery.
You’ll see us use the word Aspirant from time to time. Think of it as a placeholder for curiosity. It’s not a title or a rank—just our way of naming the season when someone is exploring whether this path might be right for them. An Aspirant isn’t a member, and they don’t officially represent us. You’re more like a welcomed guest: browsing, asking questions, maybe flirting with the idea of something deeper.
If you’re still intrigued, we invite you to answer the following questions briefly and honestly. Send them back our way so The Denver House of Perpetual Joy can get to know you—your voice, your spark, your why.
We’re glad you’re here.
